Media unit of the Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidyalaya in Ampara, produced a radio program to transmit via Uva FM (98.4) in Bandarawela in Sri Lanka.

The festival is to hold on world children’s day 2011.

It is to organize by the skills development centre of  children with the collaboration of Neth Ima Media Foundation in Sri Lanka.

There are competitions regarding aesthetic subjects, announcing etc among Digamadulla region school.

A shramadana campaign is organised to clear the school premises due to threat of dengue fever from mosquitos on 14th of September 2011.

We are in the end of second harvesting season in 2011. The price for a paddy 1kg is around 28 LKR.

And we are experiencing some rain from 2 days up to now in Ampara.

Great Arts workshop held at Inginiyagala D.S Senanayake Maha Vidyalaya on 28th of May 2011. Mr. Ellawala, veteran arts teacher of Wellassa National School, Bibila conducted and education director (primary) of Bibila education zone, Mr. C.B Wanasinghe organised. We saw children got to draw enthisiastically.

The journey started on the 11th of May 2011 at around 6 from the Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidyalaya. There were 20 members of the media section of the school. We used a van to go to the Uva Community Radio in Bandarawela which is 150 km ahead of our school and gets 5 hours to reach to the radio station.The radio station transmits over 98.4 Fm from Nayabedda in Bandarawela. Our main objective was to introduce the new technologies and to train media unit people practically.We had the breakfast at Obbegoda in Monaragala. Then we reached the radio station at around 10 am. Mr. Pradeep jayalath, an announcer organised our workshop voluntarily. He introduced live studio operations and how to handle the technological equipments. Then Ruwan Prasanna Hewavidana did a great lecture on the electronic history with the new advancements. We had the lunch at the studio premises.
