Grade 6 student named Pubudu Prasad is selected to record a TV advertisement recently. We hope that is the first time of a child selected to a TV commercial in the Eastern province, which is situated far away from 260Km’s from the Capital city of Sri Lanka.

Dear Mr. Indi, Chavi, Mr. Udara, Mr. Lahiru,a well wisher,

We are very proud of you! We appreciate you for correcting our bad English! blog.

Sorry, for late reply, because our school do not connected internet yet and we write blogs through personnel Dialog 3G connection of one of our member.

We appreciate you sir!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

We updates blogs by using a children owned  Dialog 3G dongle from Inginiyagala because Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidayalaya did not connected to the internet. yet.

We transmits a indoor radio transmission by using a small speaker set in the school. Uva community radio guides the media unit and we already got a practical training recently.

The journey started on the 11th of May 2011 at around 6 from the Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidyalaya. There were 20 members of the media section of the school. We used a van to go to the Uva Community Radio in Bandarawela which is 150 km ahead of our school and gets 5 hours to reach to the radio station. The radio station transmits over 98.4 Fm from Nayabedda in Bandarawela. Our main objective was to introduce the new technologies and to train media unit people practically. We had the breakfast at Obbegoda in Monaragala. Then we reached the radio station at around 10 am. Mr. Pradeep jayalath, an announcer organised our workshop voluntarily. He introduced live studio operations and how to handle the technological equipments. Then Ruwan Prasanna Hewavidana did a great lecture on the electronic history with the new advancements. We had the lunch at the studio premises.
