Firstever photographic exhibition organised by a school media unit in the Uva province was held on 04 th of August 2011 at the Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidyalaya with the participation of distinguished guests. Among them were political leaders, educational officers with village folk. Huge media coverage were also seen the event.
Neth Ima media foundation organised the event with the school media unit.
Chidren were able to gain new experience to get professional pictures. They guided by the professional photographers.

Interviews for the media unit of Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidyalaya has held 15th July 2011.
The interview board consisted of Miss Anuradha Wijebandara(Media representative to the Wijaya Newspapers,Colombo.),the principal, two teachers with one student representative.
There were over one hundred applicants and selected 50 children among them.
The objective of the media unit is to produce journalists with good personality toSri Lanka.
