The festival is to hold on world children’s day 2011.

It is to organize by the skills development centre of  children with the collaboration of Neth Ima Media Foundation in Sri Lanka.

There are competitions regarding aesthetic subjects, announcing etc among Digamadulla region school.

Most people of Inginiyagala is watching the tele drama called Korale Mahattaya on Rupavahini in the week days. Because that story is very closer to the people of Inginiyagala too.

Inginiyagala is surrounded by the Galoya National Park and the Senanayaka Samudra.

 

A shramadana campaign is organised to clear the school premises due to threat of dengue fever from mosquitos on 14th of September 2011.

We are in the end of second harvesting season in 2011. The price for a paddy 1kg is around 28 LKR.

And we are experiencing some rain from 2 days up to now in Ampara.

Grade 6 student named Pubudu Prasad is selected to record a TV advertisement recently. We hope that is the first time of a child selected to a TV commercial in the Eastern province, which is situated far away from 260Km’s from the Capital city of Sri Lanka.

We express our deepest sorrow to Mr. Mallawa who served the school over 15 years, because sudden death of his wife.

A special program to introduce new technologies and journalism is going on with the village media society at the Sarvodaya Centre at Inginiyagala.
