Great Arts workshop held at Inginiyagala D.S Senanayake Maha Vidyalaya on 28th of May 2011. Mr. Ellawala, veteran arts teacher of Wellassa National School, Bibila conducted and education director (primary) of Bibila education zone, Mr. C.B Wanasinghe organised. We saw children got to draw enthisiastically.

We updates blogs by using a children owned  Dialog 3G dongle from Inginiyagala because Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidayalaya did not connected to the internet. yet.

We transmits a indoor radio transmission by using a small speaker set in the school. Uva community radio guides the media unit and we already got a practical training recently.

Children observed sil on 13th of May 2011 for Vesak. There were over 300 children participated to this event. Which means 75% of the school children participated to this event.

The incumbents of Ovagiri rajamaha viharaya at Polwatta, Ampara and the thero of the Inginiyagala temple also participated to conduct the function.

Dansel,Vesak lantern competitions also followed to celebrate the 2600th of Sri Sambuddhathwa Jayanthiya.

The journey started on the 11th of May 2011 at around 6 from the Inginiyagala D.S Senanayaka Maha Vidyalaya. There were 20 members of the media section of the school. We used a van to go to the Uva Community Radio in Bandarawela which is 150 km ahead of our school and gets 5 hours to reach to the radio station.The radio station transmits over 98.4 Fm from Nayabedda in Bandarawela. Our main objective was to introduce the new technologies and to train media unit people practically.We had the breakfast at Obbegoda in Monaragala. Then we reached the radio station at around 10 am. Mr. Pradeep jayalath, an announcer organised our workshop voluntarily. He introduced live studio operations and how to handle the technological equipments. Then Ruwan Prasanna Hewavidana did a great lecture on the electronic history with the new advancements. We had the lunch at the studio premises.

Due to thunder rain our speaker amplifier was damaged and stoped the media programs of our school till the issue over.

The Vesak zone was started on 17th of 2011 and demonstrated colourful vesal lanters everywhere in the school premises. The winning vesak lantern was made by the Grade six children of the school.

Our school holds sila vyapara, dansel and vesak lantern competition from 15 to 18 of May 2011 at the school premises.
